JUNKIE MUSIK

Fourteen tracks and thirty-six minutes, every one of them billed as a collaboration — 27 guest names across the record: TY1's album, as its Apple Music page presents it.

Where it comes from

TY1 is Gianluca Cranco, born 6 October 1979 in Salerno: a DJ, record producer and turntablist. That account of his career begins it in 1992, moving through dance and hip hop with a particular focus on scratch. In 1997 he won the first Italian ITF DJ championship, and in the same year joined Alien Army, described there as Italy's first turntablist crew.

JUNKIE MUSIK is dated 9 October 2026 and listed as Hip-Hop/Rap: 14 songs, 36 minutes, carrying the line "2026 a M.A.S.T. release, ℗ THAURUS, under exclusive license to Believe".

It arrives after a run of earlier records that Apple Music's artist page for TY1 lists by name, among them DJUNGLE UNCHAINED (2022), which contributes "STANOTTE" and "MONOPOLIO" to the page's top-songs list, the 2021 single "FANTASMI", and "C'EST LA VIE (feat. Dosseh & Capo Plaza)", a 2019 single that appears there too. On the same page, JUNKIE MUSIK is the latest release, and several of its tracks now sit in that top-songs list alongside them, including "PROIETTILI", "KOPI LUWAK" and "MONDO FUORI".

What's on the record

Fourteen tracks run for thirty-six minutes, an average of about two minutes thirty-six each. Thirteen of the fourteen come in under three minutes; the only exception is the second track, "KOPI LUWAK", at 3:33, which is also the longest track on the album. The shortest is "SGOCCIOLANDO", 2:01, three places from the end. Between those two poles, the other twelve run between 2:18 and 2:50.

The feature credits are the record's main organising fact. No track is billed to TY1 alone: all fourteen carry at least one guest, and there are 29 feature slots in total across them, filled by 27 different names. Two artists return — Sayf, on tracks 4 and 10, and Guè, on tracks 1 and 14 — and no one else appears more than once.

That produces a repeated shape. Eleven of the fourteen tracks are billed to exactly two guests. Two — the opener, "PROIETTILI", and track 5, "GHETTO DREAMS" — are billed to three. One, "UNA PROMESSA" at position 13, is billed to a single guest. So the album runs as a sequence of pairings rather than a solo record with features added to it, and the pairing changes every time: with 27 names spread over 14 tracks, no guest is booked twice except the two who are.

The two who are sit at the outer edges. Guè opens the record on "PROIETTILI" and closes it on "SQUALO 2"; Sayf appears once in the middle and once at track 10. The single-guest track is placed second from last, and the album's one long track is placed second — the running order does not gather its largest collaborations or its longest track at either end.

Tracklist notes

1. PROIETTILI — 2:50. The opener, carrying three guests, the most on the album; one of them, Guè, also appears on the closer.

2. KOPI LUWAK — 3:33. The longest track on the record and the only one past three minutes, placed second rather than at the end.

5. GHETTO DREAMS — 2:45. The second of the two three-guest tracks, sitting at the end of the album's first third.

12. SGOCCIOLANDO — 2:01. The shortest track on the album, three places from the close.

13. UNA PROMESSA — 2:45. The only track on the record billed to a single guest, one place from the end.

14. SQUALO 2 — 2:31. The closer, and the second of Guè's two appearances on an album whose opener carries his name too.
