But the former Verve singer didn’t just turn up to peddle ’90s nostalgia. The same outer-borough NYC locale where MC Shan laid down the rap gauntlet with his seminal single “ The Bridge ” got reinforced further in the 1990s and 2000s by two more sons of the namesake housing development, Havoc and Prodigy .
