 A curse refers to a wish or invocation of misfortune upon someone or something, often spoken aloud (The witch placed a curse on the village).

 An anathema is something or someone intensely disliked or condemned, often to the point of being publicly shunned or cursed (For someone who loved the quiet countryside, the chaos of city life was anathema).

Watching prolific producers like Pharrell Williams, Just Blaze, Kanye West, and Rick Rubin build beats from scratch, he went from fan to student, poring over album credits and eventually teaching himself to make beats by reverse-engineering J Dilla tracks.
