Cry For Help
Album ∙ Hip-Hop/Rap ∙ 2025
Atlanta MC BabyDrill is a straight shooter with very little patience for anyone who isn’t. “N***a, I’m ski’d up in the winter/N***a, I’m ski’d up in the summer/I spin shit ’bout my gang, n***a/I kill shit ’bout my mama,” he raps on Cry for Help standout “Murk Sum.” “He went from catching doors to slanging poles/Boy, that boy a ho/Why the fuck you acting like you a shooter?/Know you never scored.”
Keeping it gutter is paramount across the project, an endeavor fortified by the company the MC keeps. Young Nudy brings his signature drawl to “Bypass,” while 21 Savage adds his own trench veteran’s menace to the Mike WiLL Made-It-produced “30 Deep.” The introspective “Can’t Know Where I Live” then offers a powerful energy shift. The ATL Jacob-produced track showcases Drill’s storytelling ability while delving into family dynamics and a lifestyle that only breeds unending paranoia. “Surviving a lot, but I’m dying to live,” he confesses.
